【Summary】 MC (Angela) is a career woman married to Marco. She is the CEO of her company and the majority stakeholder while Marco has an executive position. His family does not know that because of their old-fashioned views. He hired his mom, who instantly starts complaining because her salary is lower than MC’s. She uses the fact that her son is the executive and bosses people around while her son does nothing and prevents MC from retaliating. After she nearly cost the company a client and she took over MC’s office, Angela gets a pep talk from her childhood best friend and company lawyer Sam. She fires her MIL while her husband is away on business. He is furious and kicks her out without her kids. She then finds out from her assistant that he was plotting a hostile takeover but she keeps this to herself. She divorces him and he gets nothing because she transferred everything to Sam. Sam was willing to do this because they are exes, they were separated by her family. So, she fires him because he tried to steal the company and she gets sole custody of the kids. Then she and Sam start dating again, her family does not matter because they failed to support her throughout her divorce.
