European Union to purchase $750 billion in U.S. energy, leaders announce after trade deal talks

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen spoke to the media following an announcement that President Trump and the European Union have reached a trade deal. The two leaders met on Sunday in Scotland, and announced a 15% 'straight-across' tariff on most goods. Von der Leyen also said Europe will purchase $750 billion in energy from the United States over the course of 3 years, easing the Union's dependence on natural gas from Russia.
