Also keep in mind that there's a good amount of dealmaking on the litigation side too. Most cases (95%+) end up settling and not going to trial, so negotiation still takes place in litigation but it's more adversarial than transactional negotiation. I hope this video was helpful in giving you a broad overview to these areas of law and how they work ! Unfortunately, it's very tough to get insight into what lawyers actually do until you're in law school.
