This story has evolved quickly, and as more details have come out, it’s important to be clear about what’s confirmed, what’s rumored, and what lessons people keep refusing to learn.
These are my final comments on this mess. I’ve already spoken on this once, and until more verified information comes out, this will be the last commentary I’m offering.
Some people like to play in the snow. Some people play in the sand. People play wherever they want to play. But sometimes where you choose to play — and how you move while you’re there — will come back and bite you.
Power does not equal protection. Proximity to whiteness will not save you. And when workplace policies are violated, consequences eventually show up.
