Defense Attorney Causes Another Court Outbreak Resulting in Judge Excusing Jury

Just one day after Judge Scott Green excused the jury in the trial of Robin Howington due to a heated debate with the defense attorney and a witness, the event repeated itself Thursday afternoon. Officer Brandon Wardlaw of Knoxville P.D. was being cross-examined by the defense, when a heated debate started between him and Howington’s attorney, Mike Whalen. The tension led to the judge excusing the jury. Howington is accused of fatally shooting her 5-year-old daughter in 2019, and is facing five felony charges.
