On Friday, February 1, 2019, Veterans In Politics Court Observers, observed the following Clark County District Court Judge- Family Division:

During the case of Nicholas Revello, Plaintiff, vs. Karen Sangalaza, Defendant

Judge Linda Marquis, this case before the court the father appeared with an attorney, and we applaud the father for making attempts to see his child. Mom appeared as a pro-se-litigant this is the parties’ second appearance within 48 hours. Mom asked for an extension to retain counsel because her first attorney was unbundled. Mother stated to the judge, that she had no right to violate her and her child’s constitutional rights; because she has the right to breastfeed her child and according to the current state law; if the mother is breastfeeding the father cannot be allowed overnight visits. Mom also dropped a bombshell and requested a paternity test, the parties are not married.

Mom needs to request monies for daycare, medical insurance, and child support.

We must pay attention to all District Court Judge’s and Hearing Masters; all 52 seats Clark County District Court seats will be up for re-election in January 2020.

These judges will start campaigning in June 2019 immediately after the Municipal Elections and Hearing Masters would more than likely seek the position of judgeship.
