Phillips Law Group Injury Lawyers celebrates 25 years for their wonderful Angelica Villalobos!
"Hi, my name is Angelica Villalobos and I started here at Phillips Law Group 25 years ago, back in 1997. I started off as a receptionist for the first 15 years, and then I got promoted to being Mr. Phillips' assistant, and then I ended up taking on a new role as being the referral coordinator and back to Mr. Phillips' assistant.
From being a receptionist at Phillips Law Group for 15 years, I prepared me for many things. I learned how to deal with clients, deal with different people's personalities. I learned, done great customer service, and I also got to learn every aspect of what the firm does, different type of legal matters and step by steps, what needed to be filed, what it meant.
Well, there's a reason why I've been here for 25 years, most of that reason is the people that I work with down from the attorneys to the paralegals, upper management, assistant, receptionist, they play a big role here.
They're just not employees here. I feel like we're all a family here, and that's how we're treated. Mr. Phillips is very compassionate. I not only see him as my boss, but I see him as family because that's how he makes me feel. I've never seen him lose his cool. If you make a mistake and own up to it, he respects that, and that's something that I admire about him.
My average day working here is obviously getting up in the morning, having the energy to get up, get ready, focus on what my day is going to entail. First, I start off with my cup of coffee. Definitely need that morning jolt. I do make phone calls, constantly following up with my emails, responding to emails, and since I manage reception, I always make sure receptionists are good and that their day is also flowing well.
And me being here 25 years, I feel like I know a lot of people, probably half of Phoenix. I've seen a lot of people come and go. I know a lot of attorneys that have done business with the firm. I would say that I'm a very likable person. I love helping people and love talking to people.
I feel like I have great communication skills and therefore that's why everyone enjoys speaking to me. I love my job, but I think I'm more passionate about the people that I work with. I come into work, I look forward to seeing everybody, talking to everyone. Everyone is very free spirited and always happy. So I look forward to that every day. I'm a happy go-lucky person, so to me that's very important."
