QUESTION: What advice would you give someone who is interested in going pro se (self-representing in family court), or is forced into going pro se due to financial abuse?
Many of us are unable to afford legal representation and end up (or begin) in pro se. So many people tell me how brave I am but reality is, I didn't have a choice. My very first set of declarations were done from a laptop computer propped in the window sill of a women shelter while I was trying to tap into neighboring Wi-Fi. What tips do I have? LOTS!
